On November 11, 2011, Syracuse University celebrated Veterans Day in a major way by establishing the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF). This Veterans Day, the institution celebrates its 10th anniversary. Val DiGiorgio reflects on the milestone:
November 11, 2021 is Veterans Day.
Building on other veterans related institutes at Syracuse University, the launch of IVMF succeeded The Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV). With its roots in serving those who serve and their families, IVMF has provided more than one-hundred thousand students with accommodating programs.
Some of IVMF’s most impactful programs have included Onward to Opportunity (O2O), AmericaServes and V-WISE.
Val DiGiorgio supports the wonderful work that IVMF has accomplished over the last 10 years for veterans and their families. As an entrepreneur and scholarship founder, DiGiorgio champions the Institute’s attention to programs that center around entrepreneurship education and training.
Val DiGiorgio wishes all veterans and their families a Happy Veterans Day! He also extends his congratulations to Syracuse University’s Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) for celebrating its 10th anniversary.
