In Guntersville, Alabama, students in Kindergarten through 12th grade will be the first to experience a curriculum that will prepare them for the future in a major way. Val DiGiorgio, STEAM Advocate, discusses the new STEM-centric pathway:
On August 9, 2022, Marshall County Schools will open their doors to welcome students and teachers back for another exciting year of learning. But this year, there’s something new on the table and in the curriculum. The product of county and district wide collaboration, these new programs offer unique learning opportunities to students in grades K-12. Those programs are the Defined Learning and Defined Career initiatives, as well as various STEM centric programs. As a fierce proponent of the inclusion and emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics programs at all grade levels, Val DiGiorgio is thrilled to hear about this! Providing today’s students with innovative lesson plans and learning opportunities will be sure to guarantee a bright future. Congratulations to the students of Marshall County Schools in Alabama!
