In partnership with Verizon and the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE), Roane State Community College is hosting a free STEM program for students in grades 6 thru 8. STEAM scholarship founder Val DiGiorgio shares the details:
Setting out to empower middle school students, Verizon, NACCE and RSCC launched the Verizon Innovative Learning STEM Achievers program in under-resourced schools across America. The program intends to offer resources and learning opportunities in STEM subjects in order to inspire an environment that encourages students to pursue careers in technology fields.
The Verizon Innovative Learning STEM Achievers program offers students in grades 6-8th the opportunity to learn with immersive resources including 3D printing, augmented reality and more. Val DiGiorgio encourages students and educators to research this opportunity further to verify if this resource is available near you.
